PistachioLand Farm Tour

Overview

The PistachioLand tour offers a ride on a 14 passenger electric vehicle through the pistachio orchards and vineyards. This is a working farm where pistachios and wine grapes are produced, and wine and candy is also produced on-site. Free samples of nuts and wine are available in the gift shop. Although you can walk-in to purchase a $2 ticket, booking guarantees a seat unless canceled for weather.

PistachioLand is home to the World's Largest Pistachio, 12,000 pistachio trees, vineyard, winery, ice cream parlor and gift shop with free samples of nuts and candy.

You can feel the atmosphere when you stop buzzing with energy. People posing with the giant pistachio, lines for icecream, pistachio tasting, wine tasting! All good fun. We spent an hour here. Its right off the hwy. Plenty of parking! We took a pic with the giant pistachio. We got some great icecream huge portions. Its not made on the location. Pistachio flavor, rainbow sherbet and mango is what we enjoyed. We also bought some fudge. The tour of the vineyard and pistachio farm is on top of the hour. Its $3 per ticket. It was a 10 min tour. We got to see the vineyards and the trees. Male pistachio tree. We also tasted the various different pistachio flavors...cocoa, garlic, lime, chile. It was very interesting. We loved the souvenirs and bought some bags of pistachio and brittle.

Fun and educational tour of the Pistachio farm, followed by a visit to the store with all kinds of pistachios, candies, ice cream as well as other New Mexico products. We loved McGinn’s and plan to return next time we are in New Mexico. In the meantime we order lots of pistachio brittle for holiday gifts.

We visited Pistachioland after spending the morning at White Sands National Park. The farm tour is $3 per person and worth the money….Tara did a great job explaining the wine and pistachio business and made it fun at the same time. Enjoyed the pistachio tastings, as well! And, of course, bought some for the road.
