What To Expect

Balboa Park

The Balboa Park segway tour starts out by sightseeing beautiful downtown San Diego. You will Segway past San Diego’s gleaming skyscrapers, lovely parks, and past its many historic landmarks. After gliding through downtown, your Segway adventure arrives at Balboa Park where you will see Founder’s Plaza, cross the Cabrillo Bridge, and see the Spreckles Organ Pavilion. Glide with your tour guide through one of America’s most beautiful open parks and take in the San Diego Museum of Natural History, Spanish Village Arts Center, the Inez Parker Memorial Rose Garden.

Covered a lot of the water front and Gaslamp quarter. Great day to be out on a segway. Our guide was knowledgeable about the city. Had one character who wanted to go out on his own across fields and in front of people but the guide brought him back into restraint. Learned a few new things about the city.

Friendly staff. They were careful with new riders and safety conscious. Not much information about the sights but I think this was not a typical tour. Cold windy day. Nobody was interested in any long lectures including the guide.

My wife and I are in our mid sixties and this was a lot of fun. Hugh our tour guide had eight people in this tour and six had never been on a segway ,including my wife and me. He had all of us riding safely in about 10 minutes. I highly recommend doing this fun your. We will be doing a segway tour whenever we travel and it's available.
