Overview

Your 3 hour whale watching adventure begins when you board a coach bus that departs downtown Juneau from the Mt. Roberts Tram parking lot. A 25 minute journey through the picturesque landscape of Southeast Alaska will take you to Auke Bay Harbor. “All aboard!” and you’re off for Alaska waters and the ultimate whale watching experience. The star of the tour is the humpback whale, but we are always looking out for sea lions, bald eagles, or the playful orca. The whales are here to feed in our abundant Alaskan waters. Our naturalist guides you on a 2 hour whale watching tour. With our experienced captains and Juneau being one of the best ports for whale watching in Alaska, this tour will be an unforgettable experience. A light snack and refreshments will be provided.

The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes.

Found out about tour last minute in skagway AK. Family decided to do it in Hope to see some whales while on Carnvial Alaskan Cruise. Family is known for motion sickness, however captain rusty kept the travel very stable and did an amazing job operating the vessel. Courtney and Jayden did an amazing job informing us on Juneau history and pointing out the whales that were surfacing, and were also VERY engaged in the crowd! It is a great tour and very well worth it, even for those who suffer with motion sickness. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

The highlight of our cruise/land tour was heading out from Auke Bay with Capt. Maryna and Lucas to see various sealife. The crew had engaging personalities and made our entire boating excursion a lot of fun. We had a wonderful experience with a young whale, Muscles/Mussels, who showed off for us just yards from the boat. The surrounding scenery was spectacular and seeing all the marine life was very special to us. Snacks were provided and a bathroom was on board. Highly recommended!

It was an amazing tour and we got to see whales less than 5 yards from the boat. It was a lifetime experience to see whales that close in their natural habitat. I would recommend everyone visiting Juneau to take this tour and have the most spectacular experience
