Premier Whale Watch and Mendenhall Glacier Combo

Overview
Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. If you are in Juneau all day - you can take advantage of our flexible Glacier Shuttle to get back to town. If you arrive in the afternoon expect to get 90 minutes at the park. But don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

The ease of booking excursions through viator was great. Our whale watching guide was Marina and Lance was the boat driver. Both did an excellent job. Marina was both enthusiastic and informative about the whales. We were lucky to some up pretty close. Unfortunately, I didn't get any good pictures - I was too busy watching them through my binoculars!

The excursion was amazing. The staff members were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous from beginning to end. We got a chance to see several whales and the nugget water fall (up close) was breath taking at Mendenhall. I would highly recommend this route over booking with the cruise. It less expensive and the experience was equivalent (if not better) based on my conversation with others that booked through the cruise. The only suggestion I would make is that the headset wasn't always clear enough.

This is a very overpriced excursiĆ³n for what you get. Over $300 to stand on a boat waiting for a glimpse of a whale. I understand they don't control nature but this a lot of money to see a few whales for about 30 seconds ar a time is absurd. It would have been nice if a guide would accompany the Group at Mendenhal Glacier again for what you pay. Christy on the boat was FANTASTIC very informative!! Rest of crew was also good, Lukas needs to help spot whales more, he is too easily distracted by customers side conversations unrelated to whales. Our driver Stephanie was horrible, totally clueless about most questions the worst was when asked at drop off where steep creek was at the glacier and she had no clue, you should probably learn more about the Ć”reas included in the tour package. Other 2 drivers were fantastic. Asking for 5 star review towards the end while on the boat is tacky at best.
