Overview

Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. If you are in Juneau all day - you can take advantage of our flexible Glacier Shuttle to get back to town. If you arrive in the afternoon expect to get 90 minutes at the park. But don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

Tour time is a check-in time; departure is within 15 to 30 minutes.
The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes
Always check with us regarding the shuttle schedule if you want to spend more than 1.5 hours at the Glacier park

Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway

This is our meeting point. We chose it because it is easy to spot from everywhere. We meet under the cables of the aerial gondola.

Inside Passage

We will drive you via bus out to Auke Bay Harbor, where you board our custom whale watching boats

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center

We drive you via bus to this beautiful park. Time spent here depends on the time of day you arrive. Refer to your tour guide for the most accurate information.

There was not much to the Mendenhall Visitor Park, but really enjoyed the 2 hour whale watching tour. The crew was very nice and informative per tour. The boat was clean and spacious for everyone to move about the boat. We did see some whales and seals during our tour. Just wish the weather was a little better. GREAT TOUR!!! LMS

We did a combo tour with the glacier and whale watching. We came in on a cruise and found our guide pretty easy. We got on and off several buses with all great and friendly drivers. Everything was a short distance from the port. My grandmother was with us and is disabled everyone was more than happy to help. Today a baby whale gave everyone a good show. Would recommended to everyone. Big thanks to captains Jordan, Josh & Kevin!

You wil not see a whale breach the water and they won't tell you that until they get you out there. They say that only happens in the breeding grounds of Hawaii. They will also ask you to go ahead and do a review on trip advisor for them while you are on the boat ride. They ask that you put 5 stars or don't do the review. You will only see a whale tail come out of the water a few times from very far away. You can do the same thing from the shore. After this terrible wast of time and money the crew will beg you for more money because they need help with there college fund and work only for tips. This is a major ripoff.
