Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. If you are in Juneau all day - you can take advantage of our flexible Glacier Shuttle to get back to town. If you arrive in the afternoon expect to get 90 minutes at the park. But don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes
Always check with us regarding the shuttle schedule if you want to spend more than 1.5 hours at the Glacier park

Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway

This is our meeting point. We chose it because it is easy to spot from everywhere. We meet under the cables of the aerial gondola.

Inside Passage

We will drive you via bus out to Auke Bay Harbor, where you board our custom whale watching boats

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center

We drive you via bus to this beautiful park. Time spent here depends on the time of day you arrive. Refer to your tour guide for the most accurate information.

We took HAL ship Eurodam from Seattle to Seattle for 7 days alaska cruise. When Juneau, we booked whale watching and Mandenhall glacier combo tour. It was quite expensive booking from ship. You can buy excursions after landing on shore too. There you can bargain too. The tour was nice, the boat was good and guide was good. You don't hv to get on the glacier, you can just see it from far. Whale watching is same at every port. Once you see it, no need to spend else. You can watch whale from very far and looks tiny.

What a great day we had visiting the glacier and going on the whale watching boat. The staff was all exceptionally helpful and engaging. The whale watching was absolutely amazing and worth seeing. We were on a smaller boat with only 14 people which made our day more intimate and fun. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

This excursion was a real highlight to our Alaskan cruise. Captain Jordan knew exactly where to go and yes, we saw whales. While accommodating our cameras, he remained very respectful of the whales. Sammy, our on board naturalsist, was knowledgeable and funny.mThe trip to Mendenhall Glacier was a quick and the time there amazing. The topper was actually seeing a mama bear catch a salmon from stream to feed her two waiting cubs. We were on the walkways above stream so the view was a once in a lifetime.
