Overview

Join us for Whale Watching in our cool Alaskan waters and then view one of 38 glaciers from the Juneau Ice Fields - the spectacular Mendenhall Glacier. We guide you on a 2 hour whale watching tour, spotting Humpback whales and other wildlife. Then off to the Mendenhall Glacier to spend some time hiking, watching fish spawn at Steep Creek or enjoy an outstanding view from the Visitor Center. You get 1.5 hours at the park, but don't worry! That is the perfect amount of time to walk to nugget falls and take in the displays at the visitor center.

Tour time is a check-in time; departure is within 15 to 30 minutes.
The meeting place is under the cables in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
All ports or docks are within 10 minutes walking distances, except one - the A Dock - which provides a “Downtown” shuttle to the Mt. Roberts Tramway.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the name of their ship
A moderate amount of walking is involved.
No food is allowed at the Mendenhall Glacier.
Tour operates in all weather conditions, so please dress appropriately in layers and for the likely chance of rain. It is recommended that you wear warm layered clothing, a waterproof jacket and comfortable slip-proof shoes

What To Expect

Goldbelt Tram

This is our meeting point. We chose it because it is easy to spot from everywhere. We meet under the cables of the aerial gondola.

Inside Passage

We will drive you via bus out to Auke Bay Harbor, where you board our custom whale watching boats

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center

We drive you via bus to this beautiful park. Time spent here depends on the time of day you arrive. Refer to your tour guide for the most accurate information.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

We had the greatest time! Highly recommend! The crew make the trip so fun and enjoyable. We were lucky enough to see several whales plus we got to see one completely come up out of the water

From the moment of checking in with the guide to being dropped off at the terminal, it was excellent. Every person we encountered was very educated and ensured all travelers had a great experience. We were super lucky that day and had a chance to see many whales and sea lions. The guides were knowledgeable and funny, always at the ready to teach us about the animals and Alaska. Thank you for such a wonderful excursion!

My family had a fantastic time on this trip and I can’t say more great things about this company. I accidentally booked the wrong date and they rescheduled us same day when we arrived, no problems. Our boat crew was fantastic! Noah, first Mate Nate and Captain Ken were so knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. We saw so many humpback whales, seals and eagles. The crew gave my three year old a whale tattoo and let him play with their whales they use for the demonstration. We had the best experience.
