Private and Personalized Three Hour Morning Tour of Rocky Mountain National Park

Overview
Custom tour designed for you and where your interests are. We are not on a schedule and can even adapt as we go depending upon what we find on your special day.

I am a local historian and naturalist who has lived in the area for over 50 years. I consider myself an interpreter of nature adding color to the already stunning beauty you'll see. We'll concentrate on the myriad wildlife, the diverse biology, and incredible geology of the Rockies. We'll also get insight into what it might have been like for early pioneers and lodge keepers as well as indigenous people like the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute.

My tours are completely flexible so if you want to hike for 3 or 4 miles, great! Or if you just want sit back and relax and enjoy the view that's fine too! Either way we'll stop often to photograph and talk about the amazing sights.

Best Three-Hour Morning Custom Personalized Private Tour: This tour begins with you and your party of up to 4 people being picked up at your lodging in Estes Park or at the Estes Park Visitor Center on 500 Big Thompson Ave. If you like weā€™ll make a few short stops to view historical sites and look for wildlife in the Estes Valley before heading into Rocky Mountain National Park. In winter our destination is Bear Lake for breathtaking snowy scenery or maybe a short snowshoe walk in the forest! In summer our destination is Trail Ridge Road the highest continuous road in the US. Both tours include plenty of stops for wildlife viewing, photography and a short hike as you and the time allow.

We couldnā€™t have been more happier with this morning tour. We had limited time to spend in the park and didnā€™t want to drive on our own. We wanted to learn some of the history and be able to look at the beautiful scenery without having to negotiate the roads. Bruce couldnā€™t have been more knowledgeable about the park, the wildlife and the history of the area. I would highly recommend this tour. This was our first time to Colorado, coming from Maryland, and we are hoping to return and take another tour with Bruce in the future. His van is clean and comfortable and great for viewing and he is a safe driver.

Bruce was a great guide with incredible insight about the parkā€™s history and current challenges, wildlife and hiking . We spent our time touring in his vehicle, and he was easy to be with for three hours. When we return for some hiking, we will be sure to reach out again.

Really enjoyed our tour. He picked us up from our accommodations and pointed out a few things on the way to RMNP that we could come back to later on our own. It was nice to sit back and listen/watch instead of having to figure out where we were going or try to observe while driving. Very knowledgeable of the area in general and RMNP. He also took several family pictures for us.
