Custom tour designed for you and where your interests are. We are not on a schedule and can even adapt as we go depending upon what we find on your special day.

I am a local historian and naturalist who has lived in the area for over 50 years. I consider myself an interpreter of nature adding color to the already stunning beauty you'll see. We'll concentrate on the myriad wildlife, the diverse biology, and incredible geology of the Rockies. We'll also get insight into what it might have been like for early pioneers and lodge keepers as well as indigenous people like the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute.

My tours are completely flexible so if you want to hike for 3 or 4 miles, great! Or if you just want sit back and relax and enjoy the view that's fine too! Either way we'll stop often to photograph and talk about the amazing sights.

What To Expect

Rocky Mountain National Park

Best Three-Hour Morning Custom Personalized Private Tour: This tour begins with you and your party of up to 4 people being picked up at your lodging in Estes Park or at the Estes Park Visitor Center on 500 Big Thompson Ave. If you like we’ll make a few short stops to view historical sites and look for wildlife in the Estes Valley before heading into Rocky Mountain National Park. In winter our destination is Bear Lake for breathtaking snowy scenery or maybe a short snowshoe walk in the forest! In summer our destination is Trail Ridge Road the highest continuous road in the US. Both tours include plenty of stops for wildlife viewing, photography and a short hike as you and the time allow.

We had a great time even with bad weather. Bruce was very entertaining. His knowledge of the history in the local area (and beyond) was much more than we expected. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for that better than normal expectations.

We had a wonderful tour with Bruce our guide. Bruce picked us up at our hotel at 9:00 am and started the tour thru Rocky Mountain National Park. Tour guides do not need a time to get into the park, is great. Saw a moose up close playing in the water. Really neat, my first time seeing a moose so close. Bruce told us the history of the area and how important it was to there survival. The winters are not pleasant now, can you imagine the late 1800! The power plant and how it powered the whole area for a long time. We also saw Elk on the tour and in town. Bruce is a kind. Wonderful person. I'm so happy we lucked out and choose him to give us a tour. Cost is very reasonable! Remember he drives you listen and what great fun that was!!!!!! For any age groups and any size. Four of us engaged Bruce for a morning tour of Rocky Mountain National Park. He arrived at our rental home a few minutes early, drove very carefully and asked us what was important for us on the tour. This placed him head and shoulders above some other tours we have experienced in the past. He is a font of information about the flora, fauna and history of the Estes Park and RMNP. Do not hesitate- ask Bruce to be your tour guide!
