Private and Personalized Three Hour Morning Tour of Rocky Mountain National Park

Overview
Custom tour designed for you and where your interests are. We are not on a schedule and can even adapt as we go depending upon what we find on your special day.

I am a local historian and naturalist who has lived in the area for over 50 years. I consider myself an interpreter of nature adding color to the already stunning beauty you'll see. We'll concentrate on the myriad wildlife, the diverse biology, and incredible geology of the Rockies. We'll also get insight into what it might have been like for early pioneers and lodge keepers as well as indigenous people like the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute.

My tours are completely flexible so if you want to hike for 3 or 4 miles, great! Or if you just want sit back and relax and enjoy the view that's fine too! Either way we'll stop often to photograph and talk about the amazing sights.

We experienced the half day morning tour with Bruce from Estes Park. It was our first time to RMNP and Bruce was an excellent guide. He was very personable and a true joy to hang out with. He educated us all on animal movement and the history of RMNP. You could tell he truly loved what he was doing. His persistence even helped us to view a black bear in action of gorging on berries for the upcoming winter (which was on the very top of our list). Additionally, Bruce picked us up from the house and drove us around some gorgeous sites. (he even helped with recommendation on altitude sickness for one in our party). We will use Bruce again at our next RMNP trip.

Had a great time hiking in the Lily Lake trails in the snow. Bruce was wonderful and took us to the right spot for amateur hikers. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and geography of Estes Park and told us the stories behind the Stanley Hotel, etc. Highly recommend this experience and will seek him out when we are back there again.

Highly recommend this tour! We felt like we were being shown the beauty Rocky Mountain National Park by a ā€œlocal friendā€. Bruce picked us up at our hotel and really listened to what we hoped to see on our tour. We did several short hikes, had amazing photo opportunities, learned about the ecosystem of the Rockies, and conservation practices to protect it. And the elk herds were AMAZING! So relaxing not needing to navigate the snow and icy roads on our own. Thank you for taking such good care of us, Bruce!
