Experience the authentic Alaskan Aurora with us!

For this aurora tour, we'll travel to a remote/private location and help you come back with your very own incredible photos. Avoid the crowded uncomfortable vans, big group tours, overcrowded pullouts, and when possible the cloudy skies. We chase the lights only when necessary, otherwise enjoy the comfort of the lodge and its amenities.

You'll be guided by a local Alaskan native who knows the area and where to go and has grown up experiencing this natural phenomenon.

Your local guide will teach you how to set up your personal camera equipment so that you go home with excellent northern lights photos of your own.

We'll pick you up in our 12-passenger van where you'll enjoy the comfort and warmth while keeping an eye out for the aurora on the way.

What To Expect

Alaska

View the aurora in a private setting setting away from the crowds and the light pollution from the city. Experience viewing the aurora the way it should be, comfortably and pleasurable with the comforts of home! If it's cold outside feel free to come in and warm up by the fire while sipping on hot cocoa, tea, cider or coffee all the while taking in the show from the inside viewing area.

it is a MUST that you book this tour with Michael! any hesitation, throw it out the window and book as fast as you can... seriously, this is the BEST experience we had in Fairbanks! to see the Northern Lights in its absolute splendor in the MOST beautiful cabin I have even been to my life... best of all, Mike knows what he is offering... as a local in Alaska, he is a legit guide and will tell you what to expect... to manage expecations though, the Aurora isnt an over the counter thing and cannot be completely assured-- mother nature will decide so please consider that if you didnt get to see it, it is not Mike's fault haha! but this I can assure you--- he will do everything in his ability and power to make you see the elusive Aurora Borealis... also, he's got a handsome panrty with yummy goodies (Nutty Buddy!) and warm drinks to keep you company while waiting for the magical night to happen!

We try to set everyone up for success on our viewing nights and along with that is being transparent about the whole thing from the get-go. Nothing worse than someone with unrealistic expectations of what is to be that isn't while visiting. Am I guessing you found some of those nutty buddies to take home? Michael was an amazing tour guide. He was prompt and on-time picking us up from our hotel. Very welcoming, informative, great communication, you wouldn't find anyone better. The lodge was spectacular, warm, and in a great setting. Before the Aurora, he made sure everyone was familiar with their photo equipment and gave photo tips. While we were warm and inside, he was outside spotting for the Aurora and communicated to us immediately. During the night, you are welcome to go in and out of the lodge to get warm or grab drink/snack. After the event, he got photos to us within a day. Even though we had a cloudy night, the Aurora peaked through in a couple different directions giving us a wonderful view. On the way back to the hotel, Michael continued to point out the Aurora when it showed through the clouds. It was a breathtaking experience and Michael treated us as close friends. We would definitely book with him again.

Amazing experience! We highly suggest booking this experience. Michael was very knowledgeable and professional. It’s obvious that he has a passion for photography and his customers having the best aurora experience possible. The viewing lodge is a beautiful place to warm up and the coffee and snacks were a great added bonus. He let us borrow a tripod for our iphone and helped with settings that gave impressive pictures. The ride to the viewing location was a good time to discuss and learn about aurora and Alaska in general. Definitely worth the money. Thank you!!
