Private Day-Time Tour of Savannah's Bonaventure Cemetery

Overview
While public Bonaventure tours are very entertaining and in depth, Private Tours permit for greater exploring opportunities and direct conversation and question asking ones with 20 year Bonaventure veteran and cemetery expert, Shannon Scott. You will just see more and learn more than the average tour taker. As Bonaventure is over 200 acres, public tours only cover a fraction of that whereas these tours take you into off the beaten realms. Tour also includes beautiful, signed poster art. Shannon Scott personally picks you up in The Buzzard Mobile and returns you to your place of start. Historic District only. Tour is good for 1 to 6 people.

We had thought about touring the cemetery on our own but in the end decided do a tour with Shannon Scott's company: this turned out to be a good decision. Not that we couldn't have pocked up the free map at the office and walked the grounds on our own, but our guide, Suzanne, just made the experience so much more enjoyable. She was able to share a great deal of the local lore and to identify and explain many of the motifs used in the statuary, which enlivened the experience of walking around a cemetery on a frigid morning. Suzanne was a lovely and engaging guide. We could easily have gone another hour.
