Overview

Learn how to surf at the birth place of Surfing! We are conveniently located in the heart of Waikiki, right on the beach. We are only steps away from the ocean.

Private group surf lessons require a minimum of 2 people to participate, and up to 5 students can be together in one group. You must be able to swim and over 12 years old to take this lesson. If you are 12 yrs and younger, you must take one-on-one private lessons instead of group lessons .If you want to maximize your time in the water, sign up for one-on-one private lessons.

Make sure to ask about the photo services (with additional charge) to capture the moment!

Fantastic and fun surfing lesson for myself and my two teens. Everyone got up on the board several times, and the waves at Waikiki provide nice long rides. Our instructor was talented and fun and had us out in the action right away. Very convenient location at the Royal Hawaiian. They offer photos and video for a steep additional costs, but we purchased the photos and are thrilled that we did. Perfect way to try a surf lesson at Waikiki.

If you are wanting to try surfing in Hawaii (and you should because it’s the most fun you will have!!) go to these guys. I came with zero experience and a terrible sense of spacial awareness and vestibular aptitude (seriously I run into things all the times it’s a rough life on the subways) and I was flipping SURFING by the end of the lesson with Mat. Also must say we had so much fun with Mat we came back again to surf again with him on our last day and he is the best and most kind instructor you could ask for. I loved just hanging out and enjoying the ocean! And Mat was so encouraging and nice no matter how many times you might fall he’ll make it happen for you - BELIEVE!! like the cat poster. And book these guys!! Also shout out to the photographer who got some dope shots of us with diamond head in the background just epic. Thank you so much Waikiki Beach Services!!
