Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark District
Called the "birthplace of Dallas". It was the location of the assassination of U.S. President John F. Kennedy, on November 22, 1963. The Dealey Plaza Historic District was named a National Historic Landmark in 1993 to preserve Dealey Plaza, street rights-of-way, buildings and structures by the plaza visible from the assassination site, that have been identified as witness locations or as possible locations for assassins.

Grassy Knoll
The grassy knoll is a small, sloping hill inside the Dealey Plaza and adjacent by the former Texas School Book Depository. It became well known following the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The knoll was above Kennedy and to his right (west and north) during the assassination on November 22, 1963.

The Texas Theatre
Numerous witness accounts describe Oswald on the run after shooting Officer Tippit at the intersection of 10th Street and Patton Avenue. Taxi driver William Scoggins claimed Oswald, revolver in hand, muttered something along the lines of "Poor dumb cop" as he headed away from the site of the Tippit ambush on his way to the Texas Theater.

I've been on much better tours. First of all, the guide did not have a mic so those in the back could not hear. We were a bit restless, but she was not warm and friendly. The driver was cool. The tour did not unfold in the order in which events happened so it was quite confusing. The best part of the tour was the rooming house where the lady who knew Oswald gave us some really interesting firsthand information. The tour guide said it was too hot to get out more than twice. She didn't ask us if we wanted to. Then when we said we needed to stop because we had several kids and they needed to go potty, she was quite reluctant to do so. I bet it's a great tour with an excellent tour guide, if it goes in the order of events and if everyone on the bus can hear.

We enjoyed the tour despite the sad nature of the event. Having visited the Sixth Floor Museum on a previous visit to Dallas, I was glad that this took a different approach by seeing where various events happened, meeting someone who actually knew Lee Harvey, and hearing our guide discuss the evidence and conflicting testimony. Also the history about the eyewitnesses and conspiracies was fascinating, got my daughter doing research after. Very well worth!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour! It was incredibly educational, but wasn’t Dry or boring. Scott was so knowledgeable and the sights we saw made us feel like we were there that day. We learned so much we hadn’t known about Lee Harvey Oswald. It changed our opinion of who was responsible for JFK’s death. We HIGHLY recommend this tour with Scott!
