What To Expect

River Ventures

After checking in at the tour center you will watch a brief video about the manatees, go over the rules of swimming and how to interact in a manner that is fun for both you and the manatees. You are then fitted for a wetsuit to prepare you for your snorkeling adventure. Your guides will photograph the highlights of your entire manatee swim tour from start to finish, both above and below the water. Upon returning to the tour center, a high-resolution picture CD containing images from your manatee tour will be available for you to purchase if desired.

We did a private manatee tour for a bachelorette activity. It was awesome 1000/10 experience! We got to see four manatees including a mama and baby. Liz was an awesome tour guide, she knew cool information on the manatees, was great at directing us and helped our one of our guests who was very nervous with the manatee. She was super patient and calming. Emerson was a great captin and took us to see extra animals like tarpin and anhinga birds eating. We can’t wait to come back(to see jeff🤪) thank you again!!! The pictures were awesome!

Simply put, go with these guys! The moment you walk in you get looked after! All the staff are so friendly and chatty! JJ and Marissa were our guides and they were so knowledgable, friendly and fun they really made the trip special. My youngest was really nervous when we were in the water and Marissa was so good with her!

We had the best time with captain Wade and tour guide Sara!!! Would recommend to everyone! We got an upgrate to the private tour later on the same day, because we were the only ones that booked the early tour. We really enjoyed everything about it. The information before the tour was really helpful and Wade and Sara knew a lot about the area and manatees. It was very private and intimate. Even though it wasn’t the season for spotting manatees, due to the fact they improved the area for the manatees we were able to see 4-6 manatees! Thanks Sara and Wade!
