Mount Rushmore is more than just the carvings. They have secrets that are not easily revealed. GeoFunTrek's guides are local experts with decades of experience. We have no seasonal guides, part-time guides or trainees. All tours are conducted by the owners, Cindy and John Esposti. We have the knowledge and skills to make your day one to remember. You will always get the A-Team when you tour with GeoFunTrek Tours!
All tours are Private Tours exclusive to the group booking the tour and no additional guests will be included. Children must be accompanied by at least one adult. Children 3 years and younger are free-of-charge and will have their own seat. Children's car seats must be supplied by family members when required. Our largest vehicle, a Sprinter van seats 9, and a larger vehicle may be rented or we can add a Honda Pilot for larger groups. This is a great tour for 3-generation families with Children, multiple couples and groups of friends.

GEOFUNTREK TOURS SAFETY UPDATE COVID-19 Your comfort and safety are our primary concern. Take a private tour, limited to your group only and enjoy the day knowing that: 1) We have only two guides, John & Cindy are a married couple from the same household. They constantly monitor each other’s health. So even when not at work “THE BOSS” is always watching. 2) We have installed see-through barriers in our vehicles between the guests and the guide. 3) Our vehicles will be disinfected before and after each tour with high-quality disinfectants. 4) Guides will monitor their temperatures before each tour. 5) We wear masks and maintain proper social distancing practices and we kindly request our guests to do the same.

What To Expect

Mount Rushmore National Memorial

You will enjoy a personalized guided tour of the Shrine of Democracy with a local expert. Visit the Sculptor's Studio, Presidential Trail and Visitor Center.

Crazy Horse Memorial

Experience a personalize tour with your own local expert and learn the history of the warrior and memorial.

Custer State Park

Drive through the 71,000 acre park making frequent stop at the sites of your choosing. Take short hikes and visit the lodges or visitor facilities of your choice. Areas included are the Needles Highway, Iron Mountain Road and the Wildlife Loop Road.

We had a blast on this trip and I would highly recommend the private tour. We were picked up at the hotel and didn't have to feel rushed or cramped. While it may be more than a combined bus tour, the knowledge and passion that Cindy showed was unbelievable. We saw things that the large group tours just cannot do and that gives the personalized services that we were looking for. Not to mention the fact that we had the time to schedule what we wanted to see and to relax and take the time we wanted. Rushmores views were unbelievable as were Crazy horse. And the wife got to see the Bison which really made her day

What an amazing tour! Our guide Cindy made exploring these landmarks easy and fun. A wealth of knowledge, she answered all our questions, was great with kids, and made sure we saw our top priorities -- which included tracking down a herd of bison in Custer State Park for us. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!
