We took the west side tour with John. The Waimea Canyon was the highlight of the trip, but also a great lunch stop in Waimea town, and visits to Hanapepe, Wailua Falls and Poipu beach. It was about 8 hours and well worth the time and money. John is great to talk with and has so many stories to tell. He’s a true local and we loved the insiders’ view of Kauai! Lunch is on your own dime, but very affordable, and there are many tasty local options, including Thai, tacos and bbq food truck. There are also stores to visit and many photo ops. John was patient, took great pictures and was very willing to customize the tour. It was easy to book the tour on line and we look forward to talking the north/east trip the next time we visit!

This is a great way to see the highlights of Kauai. We only had a few days to visit the outer islands so we decided to schedule a tour service. I didn’t realize when I scheduled the tour that it was just my husband and I. Our guide, John, was very knowledgeable and informative. As we visited the various sights; he pointed out photo ops and offered to take our photo several times. The tour was from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Packed with interesting sights, gorgeous views, and a few opportunities for shopping or browsing. So glad we chose the tour! It was a highlight of our trip!

I highly recommend this experience! John took my parents and I on a wonderful tour. We scheduled the tour on our second day in Kauai and it was such a wonderful way of learning more about the history of the island and seeing the wide variety of stunning nature that Kauai has to offer. We were so lucky with the weather and the light, and John knows the island and its roads so well that we were able to make stops at view points that a tourist would never have known about, and that larger tours would not have been able to stop at. Overall, it was such a gift, it was a peaceful and beautiful way to see the island, and we learned a great deal. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Thank you, John!
