I would give John 10 stars if I could. What can I say but this was just a fantastic tour. John is so knowledgable about the island. There was not one question he could not answer. We saw so many things that you would NEVER find on your own. He took us to a beach that had a huge sea turtle sunning itself and another with Monk seals. The tour of the canyon was just great. Loved going to the Kauai Coffee co. Especially since our entire family loves coffee. He had snacks and water. He stopped at a couple of great places for lunch. Tough with a van full of vegetarians. If you have a day in Kauai and don't know what to do..GO ON THIS TOUR. It was worth every penny

Elena was fantastic! She took us EVERYWHERE! She gave excellent information about Kauai and did not leave out one stop. She even took us for shave ice. We had a fantastic time and felt like we got a very in-depth look at the island of Kauai. Absolutely gorgeous!

After reading the great reviews for Kauai Island Shuttle, I contacted Elena and booked the Waimea Canyon Tour for our small group of five. Elena was prompt in responding to my e-mails and calls throughout the process. We were met at the dock by John, who was a fantastic tour guide. He was knowledgeable, providing us the history, culture and lore of each place we stopped. He was also very accommodating, by asking us what we preferred to do/see and providing us with options for lunch; he also brought along snacks and cold drinks. I am vegan and he was able to recommend a place that would cater to everyone. We also liked the fact that John used a microphone so that even those in the back of the van could hear what he was saying. We had taken a tour through another company earlier in the week on a different island and had a difficult time hearing what was being said. John knew exactly where to stop to get those perfect “postcard” photos and took the time to use everyone’s cameras for group shots. Nothing about the day felt rushed, although we were cramming a lot into one day. I would highly recommend Kauai Island Shuttle if you want to avoid the “big bus” tours and following the umbrella. We all walked away happy to have chosen to spend our day with Kauai Island Shuttle and felt this was an excellent choice and an exceptional value.
