Professional Stargazing in Joshua Tree

Overview

Our guides are experienced and knowledgeable and will take you on a journey through our sky. Learn to find north and the location of our seasonal triangles, constellations and planets. Using high-powered laser pointers, we will provide you an entertaining and scholastic experience, with stories about ancient civilizations, Greek mythology, and the evolution of the Cosmos.

Our telescopes are operated with a keypad and are as easy to use as sending a text. Telescopes are pre-programmed with our object list for the night. Pressing one button on the keypad moves the telescope to the next object.

We regularly view the following types and classes of objects: Galaxies, Nebulae, Star Clusters, Double and Binary Stars, Planets, Earth’s Moon, Globular Clusters, Comets, and more. Depending on timing, the International Space Station (ISS) and Starlink trains can be seen passing overhead.

What a great experience. Well organized. knowledgeable and passionate astronomer. wonderful photos taken. And 5 different telescopes to look through as they changed to focus to different stars, nebulae, and galaxies. We'll be back at a different time of year to see different stars. If only we had dressed warmer for the evening We recommend it wholeheartedly.

Wow! Truly an amazing experience under the night sky. Our tour guide was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. It was clear she had studied Astronomy and was very passionate. We left the tour with a wealth of knowledge of what is just above our heads. It was mind blowing! We even got photos of the night sky and us in front of the Milky Way included with the tour; keepsakes we will cherish forever. Thanks Kramer! The comfortable bean bags, blankets, and hot beverages were a nice touch and kept us incredibly toasty. We will absolutely be doing this again!

Be prepared to be amazed! Devon and Cramer work well as a team to bring you an exceptional and amazing sky tour. You’ll see nebulae and galaxies not visible to the naked eye as well as great looks at planets that are currently viewable. Your entrance is a look at our solar system spaced correctly by distance from the sun. Then a look at constellations visible to the naked eye, super cool looks at Jupiter and Saturn, then on to look at distant galaxies, nebulae, and a look at a double star…the stars orbit each other! Very well done presentation. You’ll be surprised at how much you are able to see when in the dark of the desert. Highly recommended.
