Residences of the Presidentses Walking Tour: Dupont & Kalorama

Overview
[Tours are generally offered March through October. Please note that this tour is recommended for people ages 13 and up.]

DC is the city of presidents, and this is the tour that gives you the most POTUS for your buck. This is a great way to see some of DC's most beautiful neighborhoods, away from the big tourist crowds on the National Mall. If you love history, trivia, politics or walking, it's a great way to enjoy the nation's capital.

Your guide is a former journalist and stand-up comedian obsessed with the presidents -- Chris White has been to almost every presidential birthplace, home and grave in the country.

This tour usually departs at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Please check the start time before completing your booking.

Washington DC
In the Kalorama neighborhood, we'll see the homes of Herbert Hoover, Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, William Howard Taft and Dwight Eisenhower. Very informative tour full of historical details and little known facts about Washington DC and where our last presidents lived.

Chris was well-prepared with information and gave it in a very entertaining way. I laughed a lot and learned a lot.

Chris is a friendly, deeply knowledgeable and humorous guide. He is flexible and responsive to our individual interests. He made sure all our questions were answered and that was easy for him, because he has a professor's level knowledge of the presidents' lives. The touring area is beautiful, with plenty of interesting extra bonuses (like gorgeous gardens and interesting activities around the former presidential homes, some of which are now embassies). We came away from the tour hoping to see Chris again, perhaps on the DC stage performing comedy!
