1
Resurrection Bay
Kenai Fjords Tours is pleased to welcome you to picturesque Fox Island, in the heart of Resurrection Bay.
2
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.
3
Fox Island
Your exploration of Kenai Fjords National Park is enhanced by a chance to step off the boat, stroll the beach and explore on land. This island is rich in inspiration and character.
4

We thought the captain and crew did a great job. Captain Emma gave very descriptive narration about the bay and the area. She was a very capable boat operator as well. The meal we had on Fox Island was very good. It’s always hard to serve that many people at one time, but again, the staff did a great job. The weather wasn’t great, but we were able to see some of the wildlife. Capt. Emma even tried her hardest to find a humpback whale cow and her calf. We saw some blow spray and her back, but had to give up due to rough water.

The size of the boat is very nice, compact. Not TOO large a capacity. Easy viewing from almost all seats. The guide was great, full of interesting facts about the area & the wildlife, without trying to be funny the whole time (You know the type). He instructed the crew to slow down & stop at points so we could see birds, seals, sea lions, sea otters & a whale up close. In the case of the whale he made sure we stuck around long enough to see a full breach. The crew was polite & friendly. The lunch was especially nice; fresh, served on plates, in a gorgeous setting. The ONLY knock was the stench of the bathrooms.
