1
Resurrection Bay
Kenai Fjords Tours is pleased to welcome you to picturesque Fox Island, in the heart of Resurrection Bay.
2
Kenai Fjords National Park
In Kenai Fjords National Park, over half of the landmass is covered by the enormous Harding Icefield, a thousand-foot block of ice that dates back to the last Ice Age. The Harding spills out in all directions in the form of glaciers. Some stretch northwest into rugged hills of the Kenai Peninsula. Others—five of them, to be exact—reach as far as the sea along the craggy coast of the Gulf of Alaska.
3
Fox Island
Your exploration of Kenai Fjords National Park is enhanced by a chance to step off the boat, stroll the beach and explore on land. This island is rich in inspiration and character.
4
Bear Glacier

This was an excellent 5 hour cruise of Resurrection Bay. For starters you park for free in their lot which is about 1/2 mile from where you board the boat. Their shuttle transports you to the pier. Our tour was 5 hours from 12 noon to 5 p.m. They recommend checking in and getting your boarding pass an hour early. We spent the time until boarding looking in the shops near the pier. Be sure to pick up a free "Kenai Fjords Wildlife Guide" in the gift shop as it will help you identify much of the wildlife you will see. The boat (Nunatak) was very comfortable, and passengers were not crowded together. The crew was most pleasant and informative. Water in the Bay was very calm so no worries about becoming seasick. The scenery was beautiful with snowcapped mountains, glaciers, and interesting rock formations and crystal-clear water. You can take photos both from inside the cabin or outside on the deck. We saw a lot of whales as well as many birds such as puffins and eagles. The whales seemed to attract large numbers of birds which was often a key of where to look. After about an hour at sea we landed at Fox Island for lunch. The lunch was much more than we expected. It was served buffet style and included salad, rolls, potatoes, a corn dish, salmon and chicken as well as a beverage. The dining area was very well maintained. The stop on Fox Island was for an hour so there was time after lunch to explore and take photos. Boarding the boat again, we cruised through an area with many otters and sea lions basking on the rocks. The cruise was one of the highlights of our Alaska visit and I would highly recommend it. Seward is about two hours from Anchorage but it is well worth the drive.

The captain and crew were excellent, conveying interesting information and trying hard to find the wildlife in the bay. The meal was mediocre however.

Went with a group of friends and we saw bald eagle when leaving bay, porpoise right by boat and pod of humpbacks feeding as a group. Seeing wildlife and gorgeous scenery. Food was only thing that was mid.
