6 family members enjoyed this tour. 2 had never been to Chicago and 4 lived there in the past. The food portions are small and the food is served and eaten on the sidewalk with many people trying to get into the restaurants and walking by. It was a fun experience but I had thought in 3 hours I would be sit down and experience the atmosphere of each place. That only happened at Carson's. River North area was really stretched but a none local would not know that. The tour was both local Chicago and food tasting. We did it because of a Living Social deal. Not sure it is worth the full price but it was fun for our group. Tourists will love this.

My sister and I went on the River North Tour with Aaron as our guide-he was great. As well as tasting lots of great food-deep dish pizza, doughnuts, Italian beef sandwich, cupcakes and more!-we learned a lot about Chicago too.

Went on the River North tour with Aaron, our guide, and wasn't disappointed at all! I've only lived in the city for 4 months, so no need to say I was thrilled to learn more about the neighborhoods and the history of my new city. I especially loved the part where Aaron talked about all the famous Chicago gangsters of the twenties. You can tell he is passionate. As for the food: 6 unforgettably tasty stops. If I had to keep a couple, I would say Lou Malnati's for the classic Chicago deep dish pizza, and Al's Beef for a beef sandwich. The simple fact of thinking about it makes me hungry again. Go on and try it by yourself! it is definitely an original way to visit the city, or simply to learn more about your neighborhoods through food.
