Everything was wonderful! Travis was an awesome guide. He was so knowledgeable about Hawaii. I loved learning Hawaiian history, new words, and culture all while taking in amazing views. We swam at the black sand beach and at a waterfall. I have so many beautiful photos to remember the day. I definitely recommend this tour!!

This was a really fun trip with a very friendly driver named Travis and a fantastic small group of people! This was my husband and I's first time to Maui and i booked this trip based on the reviews as we were in Maui to celebrate his milestone birthday. The driver was extremely friendly and engaging. He grew up in Hana so he shared a lot of local knowledge and language with us. I personally learned a lot! I would say if you have any type of motion sickness then this trip is not for you as it has a lot of sharp turns for a long time. Having said that, the driver was extremely safe and there are plenty of stops along the way for restroom breaks and site seeing. We saw a couple waterfalls on the way back and went to Black Sand beach. We also saw some sea turtles, which was amazing! The tour includes a continental breakfast (muffins, fruit, juice and coffee) and a hot lunch (Huli Huli chicken, rice, salad, macaroni salad). The driver kept lots of cold juices and waters on the bus, which was great. The only minor comments i would make is that it is a long day, 12 hours from pick-up to drop off time and the driver wanted people talking the whole time, so if you expect to sleep on the way there then you won't. You get about 45 mins on the way home for quiet time so if you aren't in a social mood then this is something to be mindful of. I would also say that the driver hinted at receiving tips in a subtle and not so subtle manner quite a few times. My husband and I always tip on tours but i didn't think it needed to be reiterated as much as it did! Finally, i'd bring the following: bathing suit (but there is a restroom to change into this after lunch), towel, a change of dry clothes, ginger chews if you get motion sickness. Overall, this was a great trip and well worth the money. The driver was superb and the people attending were so nice! It doesn't feel like a 12 hour day at all so i hope you enjoy it as much as we did! :)

Aloha, Thank you for your review and feedback. You shared great tips for those who may be considering this drive and specifically our tour. We appreciate the honest comments you shared as well. We want to be sure to address any improvements to our tour experience that can be made. We think it is important for the day to be fun, but in the cases where our guests are tired and would like some rest on the drive back, they should definitely feel welcome to rest. We also do want our guides to be rewarded for excellent service by way of gratuity, but we do not want guests to feel pressured or overly prompted in anyway. We appreciate you sharing these aspects of your experience so we can review them with our team. Mahalo for touring with us and taking time to share your thoughts!
