What To Expect

Sacramento

Meet your guide at Rick's Dessert Diner (a great place to stop for a treat after the tour). Take in the street art as you wind through Midtown led by your guide, an art ambassador, who will point out the murals and provide some background information on the artists as other points of interest. The walking tour will be approximately 3 miles completely on flat,level ground either pavement or concrete.

March knows her stuff! She showed us the nooks and crannies of street murals, knew the artists and mileau, and the history of street art in Sacramento. A knowledgeable and beautiful tour.

Being new to the Sacramento area, and having an art-loving mother celebrating her 79th birthday, this was a fun way to combine getting to know the city with a cultural experience. Sacramento is home to some beautiful murals. Go on a Sunday morning, it's quiet then, and much easier to navigate viewing the art. Marcy was an insightful host, and contrary to my biggest fear of the walking being a bit much for my mom, set a pace that was gentle and genial. It's a fun way to meet people and meet the city.

It was a great tour! Tour guide Marcy was knowledgeable and passionate about the murals and their artists and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I would only suggest that the description mention that it is a 3 1/2 mile walk, so you know that in advance. I will highly recommend this tour in the future.
