Overview

Unlike any walking tour in Salem, the Forest Lore Tour takes you outside the heart of downtown and into one of the few remaining wild places in the area, where you learn from a practicing Witch, what it means to experience real magic, why nature is so important, and how to incorporate ancient knowledge into modern life.

Wear your hiking boots and bring your curiosity! This is a one-mile, guided hike that takes to you the crossroads of science, history, and philosophy in Salem Woods. Rain or shine, but we can't operate in snow due to trail conditions.

Had a very enjoyable and unique tour today in the Salem woods. Our tour guide Euni was very interesting, extremely well informed on the subject matters along with being passionate and charming. The tour covered the local plant and animal life, witch practices( she’s a practicing witch since early in her life) local history both fact and fiction from witch lore to fairies with some in between. Definitely a tour unlike the others. So if you have an interest any of the above subject matters and even if you don’t. We highly recommend this as a must do tour !!

Best tour of our trip. Our guide (I believe her name was Uni?), gave us a hiking tour that included the history of Salem, information on Wiccan/Witchcraft/spirituality, as well as a robust summary of the plants and fungi found in the forest. The guide had information and resources that spoke to every question we had.
