The ferry was on time both ways and I think the easiest way to reach Salem. Departure points were within walking distance of our hotel and Salem centre. My husband was wearing a Worcester Warriors cap so we were joined by the guide - who was originally from Wales via Canada - an added bonus to be able to discuss rugby! Nice views along the way - especially the big houses.

The first leg of the ferry journey took us from Salem to Boston by way of the foggy and rough water and ended up at the Long Wharf in Boston - took under an hour and if you get the commuter ticket as a senior it cost $8 round trip - was a very comfortable ride and got us to where we wanted to go

The Ferry from Boston to Salem was wonderful and such a great way to come and go! The nighttime return left little to see vs morning trip, but the lights on the shorelines and the great conversations still were worth the trip. Seating was spacious and the seas were kind :-)
