Join your local guide for a fascinating trip back in history as they share the story of Salem’s founding in 1626 by Puritans whose search for religious freedom ultimately ended in a wave of fear, suspicion, and anger that gripped Salem for one fateful year. Very informative tour on what happened in Salem. Maria was very knowledgeable on the subject of witches and all of the historical places in Salem. My daughter and I were a little late and Maria allowed us to catch up w the tour and gave a small recap. I highly recommend any yours w Maria. She has great energy and is extremely knowledgeable.

Maria was so extremely knowledgeable on the history of Salem and was so vivacious in her tellings and stories I could had sat and listened to her for hours. Had a great time and retained so much of the knowledge I will definitely be coming back for another visit

This was our first trip to Salem and we knew we wanted to see past the 'touristy witchiness' to understand or at least grasp the basics of what happened in 1692. When we looked on line there were lots of tours to choose from but this caught our eye and we so made the right choice. Our host Maria was superb. Really nice and friendly and she really knew her stuff. Passion and enthusiasm in spades but not over the top. Provided a really clear account of the local history and didn't make us feel small from knowing almost nothing at the start of the tour! On top of the Witchcraft history Maria also pointed our great shops and eateries and bars and answered all and any questions that we had about Salem, MA and the USA in general. We're already planning a return trip to Salem and will be asking Maria to meet us again.
