We did hop on and off the double decker bus all day to see many sights followed by a nice dinner and boat ride on the Riverwalk. This was a great way to see and experience the city.

Our visit to the Riverwalk District of San Antonio was absolutely fantastic. So easy to get around the area and see the popular sites, bars, and restaurants. I can't say enough about the city workers along with river ways and how they all greet you and ask if there's anything you need or if you're finding everything you're looking for. As for the Hop-on-Off bus tour and River Walk Cruise, both of these are good ways to here about the history of the city, buildings, etc. However, the narration on both was very hard to hear over the back ground noise. I don' think you save anything by purchasing the "package" vs just buying tickets. To us, the Pearl District was the only stop away from the area that was really worth it. Visit The Pearl on the weekend. We rode the bus 1 day out of the 3 day package we had purchased. The only stops I would recommend, unless you're really going to spend time at the museums, would be the Pearl, Market Square, and the Alamo. You can walk to everything, but the Pearl and the Tower is a little further out. I would NOT recommend the Tower for dinner. Go have a drink at the bar and enjoy the few. The qualify of the food was only OK. The service and the food didn't justify cost.

We took the Waco Tours after visiting the Silos. The tour guides were extremely helpful, entertaining and informative. We got to meet Jimmy Don, visited Harp Designs, and saw several of the homes made famous on Fixer Upper. Photos were included in the price of the trip, as well as ice cream, coffee from Common Grounds, and bottle cozies. My only criticism would be that pictures of the "cattle drive", the suspension bridge, Alico building etc. should be included in digital form.
