We decided to take the San Antonio River Walk Cruise, Hop on Hop off Bus Tour and Tower of the Americas. My first thing to say to you is DO NOT SPEND THE MONEY!!! There is no need for the bus. You can walk to these sights. We did enjoy the San Antonio River Walk Cruise. First thing to know is the Alamo and the River Walk you can for sure walk to. They are close and no need for the bus. The bus tour was awful. The driver is loud and annoying. The bus drives you around but you really don't see anything. We had just did the Hop on and off tour in Austin about 5 days before and that was worth seeing. This tour took you no where. Just around and the driver was so annoying. The one bus you couldn't see out the windows well and it was too hot to sit above. If you sat above you didn't see anything worth seeing anyways. The Tower of the Americas was the biggest waste of money. We were very disappointed. If you have ever been to Chicago the Sears Tower(Wills tower now) or even the John Hancock are so much better. Please do not waste your time or money on this tour. It was much better to walk to the Alamo and take the audio tour. Then walk down to the Riverwalk, take the tour on the river and eat at one of the restaurants.

I enjoyed the River Walk about 25 years ago and I was looking forward to see how it looked now. I was not disappointed. The river cruise was very informative describing the history and the many attractions. I enjoyed the Tower of America views and had a lunch in the revolving restaurant. The flyover over Texas movie was very interesting highlighting all the major attractions in the Lone Star state. The other movies are children oriented and I decided not to see them.

A way to do a bit less walking while doing the San Antonio River Walk. We bought a combo ticket for this shuttle along with the boat tour ticket. It was around 100 F while we there - the shuttle helped vey much.
