We rode the hop on hop off bus in its complete itinerary. It gave us an awesome overview of the city. We then could ride again and stop at the various sites whether to shop, to eat or a museum. One should do this bus ride! It is a must while In San Antonio.

Six of my friends visited San Antonio for a few days and we were not disappointed. We booked the Hop On/Hop Off Bus and it was wonderful, especially the guide employee, Crystal (known as Crystal lite) who actually saw me looking for the bus location and had the bus driver stop so that she could direct us to the proper place to redeem the bus tickets. Included in that ticket was the boat ride on the River Walk, which was delightful and the River Walk, itself was beautiful, with its magnificent hotels (where we did not stay) and wonderful restaurants. Our final evening was dinner at the Tower, a Chart House restaurant, that rotates and provides you with a beautiful view of the city. Of course you must also see the Alamo and the San Jose Mission, which is larger and gives you a better perspective of life on the missions which ended around 1837. It was a wonderful 4 day vacation..really 2 1/2 days that provided many activities to fill the day. The other time was for travel. Loved it there.

The River cruise was terrific. Had Daniel as the captain and he was informative and entertaining. Bus ride in the morning was informative. Bus ride in the afternoon, most of what we learned in the am was not even mentioned in the pm. It was a great way to get around but the map was missing street names and finding stops was not easy.
