Boat tour was beautiful. We went on a Tuesday morning and there were just a few people on the boat. It was hard to hear everything the driver said because he talked pretty fast but it was ok. We rode on the upper level of the bus and only got off once at the old market. It was a beautiful day and we just enjoyed the ride. The driver was funny . The old market was just touristy stuff like you’d get in a Mexico border town. Had lunch at one of the restaurants and it was ok. The only bad part was finding the place to catch the bus/boat. Even though we bought tickets on viator.com, we had to go pick up the tickets at a place by the Alamo. We didn’t know that and just started walking around looking for the bus. The boat was down behind a shopping mall and quite a long confusing walk from the ticket place.

The Hop-On Hop-Off is good for first time visitors to get an orientation of the downtown area. Take the entire one hour loop. It is not good as an option to go from different points of interest because there is no schedule so you could be waiting a half hour or more for the next bus.

We were disappointed by the bus (hot/ poor ventilation), bus driver (lectured us/ poor audio), and road construction in area of tour.
