Overview

Whale watching season is all year long in San Diego! Our team at Next Level Sailing provides the optimal experience with guides so experienced we received a 100 percent success rate during winter whale watching when spotting the King of the Deep.

We are one of the best outdoor activities to do in San Diego. Gray whale watching season spans from mid-December through April. Blue whales and fin whales are seen feeding in San Diego from April - August. Humpback whales and minke whales are seen throughout the year, particularly in the spring, summer, and fall. Aboard our 141-foot sailing yacht, the Yacht America, you will see a plethora of whales firsthand in their natural habitat. In addition to whales, we also see dolphins and sea lions, and an abundance of naval activity. Don't be surprised if you see an F-18 fly overhead!

My wife and I were looking forward to have a good experience but our Uber brought us to the wrong location for the whale watching. I contacted the company in multiple ways but they never called me back. I would appreciate any response from them or get my money back.

This review is inaccurate. The customer did not provide an accurate phone number. We call all customers prior to the voyage to help them find our location. We called the number that was provided and never reached the customer. The customer called us at 11:16 AM, after we had departed. They requested a refund for a trip that was sold out. If we could have re-sold their tickets, we would have issued them a refund. This was not the case. In an effort to provide them value for their tickets, we have provided them a credit to come whale watching with us in the future on a standby basis. There is no expiration on this credit.

We saw a mega pod of dolphins and whales. Awesome! Highly recommend. Crew was great. Snacks, pop and water were provided. Beer and wine available for sale. You may also bring your own.

Well organized, fun and interesting trip. We have seen a pair of Humpback whales, sea lions and many dolphins. But even if you wouldn’t see much sea life, going on the open sea with the fresh breeze, gorgeous scenery is worth it.
