Overview

Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

Check in was fast and easy. Boat was clean and felt safe. Crew was friendly. We saw tons of dolphins though, sadly, no whales. Maybe next time!

The weather was perfect, and getting to see sea lions, dolphins and whales was spectacular! The biologist and guides on board were very friendly and informative, and really added to this memorable experience. I highly recommend this fantastic tour!

Trip started with close-up views of a large pod of dolphins. Amazing. Took a while to find whales. We were 10 minutes from heading back to the dock when the boat team found 3 whales. We watched them for at least a half hour. Also amazing. Because the whales were found late in the trip, the captain extended the trip by 15 or 20 minutes. Well worth it. While finding whales, was the best part, it was a beautiful boat ride out in the Pacific. Great views of La Jolla and the San Diego coast.
