The staff was very gracious in providing us the opportunity to reschedule, given the choppy conditions. However, most of us chose to go on the three hour tour. It was cold and windy. They had blankets. The narrator was very knowledgable about local marine life. It took a long time to locate some whales, as the water was very choppy. The whales preferred to stay below. The captain changed course in order to find some, which we eventually did, albeit far away, so we only saw the water bursting in the air. A few passengers got motion sickness and the staff tended to them warmly without a fuss. When we arrived on shore, they gave us all 50% coupons for next time. Definitely a nice experience.

We can't say enough about them - they provided us with a great experience. We didn't get to see grays and were given coupons that do not expire - great perk! We did, however, get to see a humpback whale and white sided dolphins. These sightings are rather rare, especially the humpback. We appreciated the effort the captain and crew made to ensure we saw something on our otherwise quiet trip.

I knew I wanted to take a whale watching excursion on my trip to San Diego to visit my son. After reading reviews on Tripadvisor, I searched for the San Diego Whale Watch company on line. It had good reviews so I went with them. Using Yelp for coupons we got our tickets for half price. Which I later learned, the company offers on certain days. The professionalism of the staff was great. Very friendly, big smiles, and gave constant information through out the cruise. We were very fortunate on our day with whales and dolphins. Saw about 7 Grey whales, and lots of dolphins! The whales were close enough you could see the barnacles and breaching! The dolphins loved showboating along side the boat. It was very easy to get film on my phone of all the sightings. The sea lions were playing with dolphins while we all laughed and had fun watching. Even if we had paid full price, it was a fantastic value for all the fun ! I would go again with grandchildren. The weather was beautiful for early February, overcast with sunshine. Bring an extra jacket and a hat because it can get chilly and windy.
