San Diego Whale Watching Tour

Overview
Our trips depart from Mission Bay, which requires only a short 10 minute journey access to the open ocean where whales and dolphins can be seen! The search for whales and other animals begins as soon as you depart the dock and our marine biologists are on the microphone explaining exactly what to expect and what you are seeing from the get go!
Typically our trips are 2.5-3 hours in length, but time can vary based on seasons and locations of sightings.

Our tour guide and marine biologist Vanessa was knowledgeable and made the tour entertaining. Saw huge pod of dolphins near and around the boat. Several blue whale sightings but you have to be alert and quick to catch them. Overall, enjoyed the 3 hour tour, the wind sun, cool air and view from the ocean, Great value with discount coupon too.

a visiting friend from Farmington, Michigan and myself enjoyed a great day on the water. Lots of sightings, calm-ish waters and a great time, thanks again. I think this was my 3rd or 4th time with the Privateer crew and captain Brian.

I did enjoy the experience since I have never seen wild dolphins and you see pods of 100’s of dolphins with this Tour next to the boat multiple times. First 1.5 hour we did not see any animal. This is not a whale watching Tour in summer, we saw 1 whale’s tail and instead of staying close to it to let us see more the boat went back to shore. We paid a lot of money to see Some
