Despite my husband's reservations about cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge, we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The tandem took a little time to get used to but was fun. Providing tickets for the Ferry back was excellent. Sausalito is definitely worth seeing.

My party of four had a FABULOUS time, renting e-bikes from the Blazing Saddles' Hyde Street location (the only one with e-bikes). They have plenty, so no need to book in advance. When we strolled in, we were greeted by enthusiastic staff, quickly signed up for bikes, watched a short instructional video, did a test ride of the bikes, and were off! The bikes were all in good shape, and we were clearly shown how to turn on the battery, shift gears, etc. We had SUCH a good time (avoid the crowds at Pier 39) - headed along the water to the Golden Gate Bridge, rode over (stopping for spectacular picture opportunities along the way), and then cruised downhill to Sausalito - a very pretty town with lots of cafes and local artists' shops. Put our bikes on the "blue and gold" ferry (the only ones that take bikes - they run every hour or 1.5 hours) and had a lovely ride back across the harbor. Highly recommend!
