We hired the bikes recommended as "best for the bridge", booking them in advance to get a discount. The staff were very helpful when we collected the bikes and professionally fitted us with the bikes and helmets. We were shown a video before heading off which helped us with landmarks along the way but they glossed over the fact that the hills on the approach to the bridge are steep! We hired on a Saturday and it was quite busy on the bike paths and we had to wait in line for over an hour to get on a ferry from Sausalito back to fisherman's wharf at the end of our day. I would recommend hiring on a weekday instead. We had lunch in Sausalito. It is very pretty and there are lots of eating places to choose from. We also cycled on to Old Mill Park to look at the redwood trees.

We rented 2 bikes and cycled ourselves to the golden gate bridge. It was my favourite day of our trip. I highly recommend doing it. We booked the bikes online. It was quick and simple. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing us with a map and tips. We were given a quick informative video to watch before we took off,and then after been given our bikes they made sure the seat was correct and we knew how and when to use/change the gears(which I was grateful for,as I hadn't cycled since I was about 9 years old!). Highly recommend. Very helpful and friendly staff. Everything was quick and hassle free.

We are family of three with a 15-year old teenager. The bicycle rental has no problem. However, the rental counter pre- sell the return ferry ticket for $15 each. When we took the ferry we noticed the ticket only costs 12.5 for adult and 6.5 for young adult and free for young children. There is almost no line on the ticket machine. We were requested to return the bike on the different location After 530pm. When returned at 630pm and were told the paper work is not returned from the bike pick up station asked to wait and ended up be given the hand written receipt. I hope the bill is correct in our card since we can only check after returning to the home country. Enjoy the bike right and make sure you check the bill details and re-consider taking the ferry tickets.

These are optional and customers are welcome to return them without being charged. Regarding rates, our pricing is completely transparent.
