The many locations in Fisherman's Wharf were easy to find and the staff were friendly and helpful. They provided us with route suggestions and return ferry tickets from Sausalito (meaning we didn't have to ride back). This was a relatively inexpensive way to get up close and personal with the bay foreshore and of course the bridge. Sausalito was an unexpected bonus with plenty of lunch options available. The bike hire came with a 20% discount at the Joinery which provided fast and tasty food and drinks.

The staff were very friendly when we walked in the shop, but were a bit all over the place! The bikes we hired had seen better days and were a bit worn with squeaky brakes! But they did the job! There are a few steep hills on the ride up to the bridge, but the majority of the ride is pretty flat and not too tiring. The ride down to Sausalito is mostly downhill, and a nice ride on the seafront past some cool houses. The queue for bikes on the ferry can get really long, if you go online you can reserve a spot on the ferry and don’t have to queue! Back at Blazing saddles, we paid, but weren’t informed until signing the bill, that there was a $3 charge for paying by card (not cash) - would have been nice to have known that before my card had been charged. Great experience all round, would definitely recommend hiring a bike to cycle across the bridge.

Thank you for recommending out company! We require that all customers test-ride their bike before leaving our store to ensure it is properly fitted and in good working order. Next time please let us know if there is a problem beforehand and we'll do our best to resolve the issue. As far as payment, our pricing is completely transparent - we apologize if there was any confusion regarding our cash vs. credit card policies.
