Overview

"Getting there" should be the fun part. Combine the advantages of sailing with the freedom of a kayak. Light-weight beachable craft open up areas that are difficult to access by heavy boats. While large sails and foot pedal drives allow quick travel between places that may be too distant for other human powered craft. Escape the crowds of the few places serviced by the Washington State Ferry System and explore the waters and remote islands of the San Juans.
Camp at remote beaches, cliff side sites, and/or tiny islands. Meals are prepared by your guide(s) with fresh and, as often as possible, locally sourced ingredients.

Each traveler gets their own personal tent, sleeping bag, and air mattress. All activates take place in the open air, as well as the design of the boats naturally forces social distancing (the amas or outriggers, keep people in boats more than 6 feet apart).

Amazing experience. I am a bit scared of water and Clayton’s professionalism and knowledge put me completely at ease. The experience on the kayak boats was quite unique. I found it empowering and absolutely stunning. Most definitely worth it.

Well that was amazing! I love water activities. I kayak, raft and boat around, but I had not sailed. I was a little hesitate on day one and by last day was looking up where I could buy a sailing Hobie. This trip didn't just open me up to sailing, but also the idea of going to different camp spots via sailing. Now I'm hooked. The boats, provided gear and without question, the guide made everything a breeze. My horizons of camping have been way elevated. Couldn't really ask for more. Wildlife, scenery, relaxing days sailing with friends and hanging out on the beaches at night. This trip will be an adventure I speak of often.
