Great day biking outside Santa Barbara, we went through Solvang “Little denmark” and a canyon, past wineries. The wines were excellent w a wonderful lunch, guide and we even stopped to taste and buy olive oils and honey. Great ride to and from biking spot from downtown Santa Barbara

My wife and I were visiting Santa Barbara for work and wanted to experience wine country. After reading through KHM93 review from Nov 14, 2018, we decided to make a reservation. After the trip, I re-read the Nov review and realize whoever wrote the review did a great job describing William and the entire trip! I highly recommend taking the tour; lavender farm, the town of Solvang, beautiful Ballard Canyon Road, Olive Oil tasting, wine tasting, great lunch, Los Olivos - it was awesome!

We spent 4 days in the Santa Barbara wine country and booked this bike trip for the first day. In retrospect, I can't think of a better way to start the vacation. There were 3 options of varying length: the Jaunt, the Wine Lover's, and the Classic. All 3 cost the same so you can change your mind even in the middle of the tour if you like. We were in a group of 4 that day, all of whom selected (and stayed with the Wine Lover's tour). William was an excellent guide and host. Starting with making sure everyone knew how the gears and brakes worked on our bikes before leaving Los Olivos. We made several brief stops along the way so he could talk to us about the history, plants, vineyards, etc. The scenery was beautiful and we learned a great deal about the area. We enjoyed all three of the wineries (including the optional third that is part of the Wine Lovers tour) and the olive oil tasting. At the last winery stop, William set up a lunch of gourmet sandwiches, salad, fruit and cheese in the beautiful courtyard. We enjoyed the lunch and the weather while the tasting room staff brought pours of wines for us to sample. I believe Williams said he had spent time in the hospitality industry before starting this bike tour business and it really showed through in the way he organized everything and treated everyone on the trip. I highly recommend the Wine Lovers tour. It was a good mix of biking and wine tasting. A few of the hills, while manageable, were enough to convince me I'd rather ride back up out of the canyon in the van rather than bike up under my own power - plus the additional winery was an excellent addition to the tour.
