Santas on Segways - Holiday Segway Tour in San Francisco

Overview

Suit up as Santa and jump on a Segway this holiday season in San Francisco! In the Santas on Segways tour, see the city’s glittering holidays spectacles while you enjoy hot chocolate and holiday karaoke music!

Delight onlookers (and confuse a few children!) as you and your fellow Santas explore the Waterfront and Fisherman’s Wharf, where the boats are lit up in celebration. See the 60-foot white fir Christmas tree at PIER 39.

Tour also covers North Beach See the Bay Lights Show, the Ferry Building, and the Transamerica Pyramid, all festooned for the season.

Take in the breathtaking nighttime views of the historic ships at Hyde Street Pier, decorated cable cars, and the Alcatraz Island lighthouse. Santa suit and beard provided, along with a specially decorated safety helmet!

Tour is 2.5 hours.
Note: Holiday Trees and decoration locations are still TBD.

All participants must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance
All guests must weigh between 100-250 lbs or 45-113 kilos.
All guests must be age 12 or older.
NOTE: We have a scale on site and check minimum weights for safety of all of our guests. Underweight guests will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Check in 15 minutes before start time.
This activity is not recommended for some guests that are: ages 70 years and older, have had recent surgeries or have motor skill/control issues.
Helmets and safety vests are provided and are required.
Each customer must sign a Liability Waiver.
No pregnant guests are allowed due to safety reasons.
No high heels, sandals or flip flops.
Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the tour.

What To Expect

Fisherman's Wharf

Join a troupe of Segway riders on Beach Street, along Fisherman’s Wharf, to gear up for your evening ride with a 20-25-minute safety orientation. Along with a helmet and safety vest, you’ll get hooked up with a radio device so you don’t miss any of your guide’s commentary along the way. Once you feel comfortable on your two-wheeler, hit the streets to see Chinatown, North Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf and the Embarcadero lit up at night. It’s a great way to see the city in a new light!

North Beach

Depart from Beach Street to head up to North Beach, or what locals consider the city’s Little Italy. The streets are flanked by bustling Italian restaurants, with the scent of authentic warm dishes wafting from the doorways.

Washington Square

Imagine the Beat poets and artists who once roamed the neighborhood as your guide shares history about the counterculture movement at Washington Square Park by Saints Peter and Paul Church.

Pier 39

PIER 39 is decorated for the Holidays. With one of the largest Christmas trees in San Francisco

The Embarcadero

Continue along the Embarcadero past the Ferry Building to Fisherman’s Wharf for a look at the historic piers and harbors.

Enjoy nighttime views of Alcatraz and Fisherman's Wharf before ending your Segway tour at the start point.

San Francisco Bay Bridge

From Chinatown, head east toward the waterfront to take in the Bay Bridge, which appears to be dressed in tinsel; it’s actually a light sculpture known as Bay Lights.

We had such a great time. This experience exceeded our expectations. It was our first time riding a Segway. I was really impressed with the guides, attention to safety and safe distancing during Covid. Super professional guides and fun as well. All around a great experience. I highly recommend using this company. Can’t wait to do another tour with these guys!

We were a little sceptical as this was our first segway tour. However, we are now hooked on segways! What an amazing way to see & experience the city! There was expert tuition beforehand which made us feel "at home" on the segways. Our tour guide, Tre, was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable about SFO's history, ensured we were safe & secure the entire time, and made our experience memorable. With all the SFO tours we have done, Tre was the best guide we've had!!! We would recommend this tour to anyone (ask to go on Tre's tour)!!! Really worth the price! Great value!
