Sarasota Guided Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Tour

Overview

There is a reason that the Mangrove Tunnels of Lido Key are a must-do experience when visiting the Gulf Coast. We launch from Ted Sperling Nature Park (190 Taft Dr Sarasota FL) which has clean restrooms, a rinsing shower, and shaded picnic tables. Our amazing local guides from Sea Life Kayak Adventures take you on a tour of Little Sarasota Bay, where you may see manatees, dolphins, a variety of birds and sea life...then finish up in the famous mangrove tunnels, a beautiful canopy that meanders thru an island. The tour usually goes around 2 hours, but we aren't on a strict schedule, so please allow for an extra half hour. We are located just minutes from downtown Sarasota, 20 minutes from Siesta Key, and a half hour from Anna Maria Island and Bradenton (add time for traffic during high season. We meet a HALF HOUR before our tours)

Chris of Sea Life Adventures was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and taught my family everything we needed to know about Kayaking properly & safely, we have only gone kayaking a few times before, Chris was extremely knowledgeable about the Estuary & Mangrove tunnels, this was the best part of the tour...this was great! The Lido Estuary was beautiful, We even got to see some Dolphins...while out on the Estuary.

I booked Sea Life Kayak Mangrove tour as an activity while my young adult children were visiting us over the holidays. The tour and our guide, Chris, were both excellent and enjoyed thoroughly by everyone. Chris did a great job of getting everyone into their boats and orienting us to the area. He pointed out wildlife as we explored the bay. He also did a great job of getting us into and out of the tunnels (something I noticed other groups struggled with due to the tides...) Highly recommend Chris and Sea Life for a great trip.

Chris was not only an extremely knowledgeable and informative guide, he was genuinely enthusiastic throughout the whole trip. The Mangrove tunnels/caves are a must see for anyone visiting the area, a very unique experience! While we in the bay before entering the tunnels, we were fortunate to see two Manatees. The highlight was when the dolphins swam right past our kayaks. Chris gave us ample opportunity to watch the dolphins play and to take photographs. We never felt rushed. We would highly recommend this tour.
