I've been on quite a few food tours. I've been on one before this one during the pandemic. I understand that the experience may not be as good as pre-COVID, but I was a little disappointed in this tour. We ate almost exclusively in the squares. The foods were primarily things you could eat with just your hands. Access to water or other drinks required us to take a detour from the tour while we were waiting on food to arrive. The guides were excellent. They were informative and funny. The food was ok to good. We did choose to visit one of the restaurants that provided food (The Ordinary Pub) and were not disappointed. I missed getting to see the insides of the different restaurants. Food tours are how we get introduced to new restaurants when we visit a city. Not being able to fully associate the food to a particular restaurant makes the experience a little less valuable. In addition, the food we tasted seemed too similar. The theme seemed to be "sandwiches". I'd give this tour another try post-COVID, but you may want to think twice about it in the meantime.

We are sorry to hear that your specific tour was not able to go inside at each of the restaurants due to the safety of the guests given COVID and how busy our city was at the time of your visit. While we do advise guests that we will eat in our beautiful squares as a picnic when needed to be safe and that all of our guests are advised to bring water with them, we will take a look at how this information is displayed to make it more clear. Thank you for the opportunity to address these issues.

Had a great tour with Deshawn. He was able to make you feel welcome and like you were on a private tour even though there were a dozen people. Food and drinks were outstanding we enjoyed every stop. Pork belly donut slider was to die for.

Loved this tour and highly recommend it! Great way to get a taste of everything Savannah in just a short time. Don’t eat lunch before you will be stuffed by the end of the tour.
