Overview

Following your trolley tour of Historic Savannah, embark on the Savannah Riverboat for a 90 minute sightseeing cruise down the Savannah River. During the 90 minute cruise, experience the river that was – and remains – the lifeblood of Savannah! Take advantage of the great photo opportunities of Savannah’s historic riverfront and skyline. The land portion of the tour which is 90 minutes historic trolley tour will be the beginning of the tour. After the land portion of the tour, the trolley driver will drop you off at the River Street boat departure location from where you would board the boat. After the “Sea” portion is done, please call our dispatch line to be dropped back off at Savannah visitors center, your hotel, or anywhere in historic Savannah. The total tour time between land & Sea portion is approximately 5 hours, counting the time between the tour.

I’m sorry I didn’t catch names, but the gentleman who gave the bus tour was excellent. Same with the narrator on the riverboat cruise. The entire experience was wonderful, and well worth the price. Savannah is a beautiful city, rich with very interesting history. In fact, every single person we dealt with was absolutely great and the entire experience was wonderful, with one exception: When we called the central customer service number while still deciding whether to book the tour, that phone call was a VERY frustrating experience. At one point the agent was actually telling us she didn’t have the answer to our question, but that she also was not allowed to give us the phone number to the local tour operator. The entire phone call took almost 10 minutes, and we still didn’t really get our questions answered. But of course the local operator called us after booking, and happily answered all of our questions.

Took this tour after experiencing the Hop on Hop Off trolley - the land tour was essentially the same - except my driver had a thing for architecture so I heard some additional highlights - however the real issue was that the driver didn't know we were scheduled for the Sea component and had it not been for another couple who were scheduled and we made the stop -we would have missed the boat - literally Of course if you are in Savannah you want the River Boat experience - but it wasn't so thrilling; there is little scenic appeal and while the tour guide did a good job it wasn't anything special - there is a cannon that they fire and that was at least something - but again if you are in Savannah you have to get on the boat
