Overview

Following your trolley tour of Historic Savannah, embark on the Savannah Riverboat for a 90 minute sightseeing cruise down the Savannah River. During the 90 minute cruise, experience the river that was – and remains – the lifeblood of Savannah! Take advantage of the great photo opportunities of Savannah’s historic riverfront and skyline. The land portion of the tour which is 90 minutes historic trolley tour will be the beginning of the tour. After the land portion of the tour, the trolley driver will drop you off at the River Street boat departure location from where you would board the boat. After the “Sea” portion is done, please call our dispatch line to be dropped back off at Savannah visitors center, your hotel, or anywhere in historic Savannah. The total tour time between land & Sea portion is approximately 5 hours, counting the time between the tour.

Cathedral of St. John the Baptist

This tour was actually two separate tours. One of historic district in air conditioned van with comfortable seating that lasted 1 1/2 hours, followed by a trip on the Georgia Queen riverboat down on River Street. Assuming you're driving a car tot he oriigination, ask your original tour guide bring you back to the staring point, and then drive to River Street. There were multiple lots down by the river, with lots of quaint shops and restaurants. We didn't do the buffet lunch on the ship, but it looked great. Good choices of adult beverages on ship, and reasonably priced.

We booked on line and confirmed our reservation the day before the tour. Stephanie, our tour guide, picked us up at the hotel right on time. She was very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. We enjoyed seeing and learning all about Savannah in the very comfortable, open air excursion van. She was very helpful in explaining the “sea” part of the tour.... where to board and made suggestions of what to do in the 1 1/2 hours between tours. Savannah’s beautiful weather today helped make the tours that much more enjoyable!

The land part of the tour was wonderful. our guide was informative and amusing. Well done. The sea part was unexpected. We learned everything you want to know, as well as , much you did not want to know, or care to. Not much to see for 90 minutes of cruising. Limited shade on deck. could have used more tables with umbrellas.
