Bonaventure Cemetery
During this 2.5 hour tour, you will be joining a very exclusive club of people who have seen the cemetery after it closes to the public. Not since it opened in 1846 has this been an opportunity, but thanks to your very special local host, now it is. You are literally locked in the cemetery the entire time; for the right taker, there's no price you can put on the joy of that. Imagine having the serenity, stillness, and quiet of the cemetery, uninterrupted by the living world. Stories stretch from the present day all the way back to Bonaventure's plantation beginnings in 1754. Our topics range from the funny and uplifting to the macabre at its most morbid. Some of the stories that will be covered include those of: • A "hooch runner" for Al Capone • A bizarre love story that ended in one murder and one visit to the electric chair • Savannah's role in The DaVinci Code • Lady Minerva & Jim Williams in Midnight in The Garden of Good and Evil

Shannon Scott's tour of Bonaventure Cemetery is a must see while in Savannah. He s articulate, knowledgable, witty and has a flair for the dramatic. He will recite poetry and passages from literary works of the cemetery s residents. It's a three hour tour that passes very quickly. The tour involves walking and bug spray is a good idea. The cemetery itself is worth a visit. It is absolutely gorgeous and its monuments are unequaled.

We invited friends to go with us on this tour, Bonaventure After Hours is a fun, fact filled tour of Savannah's most famous cemetery. Shannon's knowledge of Bonaventure' history is incredible, we will be back again. We have already decided to meet up again and take a day tour and see what else we can learn.

Did not know what to expect and we were all thrilled - 7 in group. Shannon brings a new and wonderful perspective to "viewing" the cemetery and its' guests. It is obvious that is a professional and loves presenting as an experience BUT it is also obvious that he has done a lot of research over time. And we all appreciated the work that has gone into his ability to entertain the group for 2 and 1/2 hours. And that 2 and 1/2 hours flew by. Although we just did this tour in October, it was not about scaring us nor about Halloween but about the history of Bonaventure, the area and the relationship to the greater area and history. Loved it!
