First stop - grits with bacon, tomato, green onion were delicious!!! Spice/tea shop was a great shopping destination, but not a great stop for local food tasting. Crab house and bbq were very loud and made it difficult to hear guide. Candy shop/dessert wasn’t very good. Guide had a lot of useful information, but just recited facts - didn’t make it interesting or entertaining. She was about as fun as a bee sting!

We enjoy food tours because it is a great way to learn the history of an area you're visiting, plus a way to find hidden restaurant gems. Our first stop was, "Another Broken Egg" where we sampled grits (with onions for breakfast?) & beignets. Not impressed with visiting a chain restaurant, plus the pettiness of making us purchase our own coffee. We also stopped at a local BBQ place for pulled pork sliders. My slider had a large chunk of pork (not shredded) on a Hawaiian slider bun. Our final stop was River Street Sweets (another chain) for pralines. We also sampled Fried Green Tomatoes and Stopped at a Tea & Spice Store (another chain). As someone who's toured several times with Viator, this was probably our least favorite tour. Not worth $79
