Thanks so much for your review! Honestly it is difficult to find things Franny does not know about when it comes to Charleston. She does know her stuff and we thank you again for visiting with us while in Charleston!

This tour is simply not to be missed. First and foremost, Gordon was very knowledgeable and extremely personal. We were always engaged and made to feel very comfortable the entire time. The tour began with with a little introduction on the front porch before we set off for our first restaurant. There were a total of three sit-down small meals/samplings plus two additional stops. The first restaurant, being a late morning tour, was a breakfast place. We enjoyed the most amazing grits I’ve ever tasted and an awesome fried green tomato (and I hate tomatoes!) pictures are attached... next stop was a quick stop at a wonderful confectionary where we enjoyed a nice sampling finished off with an amazing praline. The next sit-down was equally enjoyable with a great succotash consisting of various beans, okra, and a wonderful red pepper jam and three perfectly breaded shrimp. After a nice little walk, our final sit-down with a fantastic she crab soup, a bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with crabmeat, and a perfectly fried hushpuppy. The food was all just divine. Our final stop was at a tea and spice shop with an amazing array of spices, spice blends (including some great smelling low country blends), salts from around the globe, and teas. I highly recommend this tour. It’s a perfect amount of very high-caliber food for the foodie in all of us with a great history of Charleston mixed in. Hats off to Gordon and all of the establishments we visited!
