Overview

Walk, talk and taste your way through historic Charleston South Carolina. This small-group 2.5-hour tour will immerse you in the history and culture of the Lowcountry and allow you to experience a remarkable culinary scene in downtown Charleston. Stops along the way will include many of the city’s leading restaurants through out the city. Typical tastings include: stone ground grits, Southern pralines, sweet tea, collard greens, Lowcountry barbeque, and fried green tomatoes.

***PLEASE NOTE: If there are any food allergies in your party, we must know at least 48 hours in advance or some restaurants may not be able to accommodate. We also can't guarantee there will be a substitution at every location due to some allergies.

Built in the early 1800's, this four block historical landmark was originally the city's grocery store. Today, the City Market is home to a variety of local vendors that sell their art, crafts, and local wares.

This was a great tour. We left completely stuffed. I didnt make it a 5 cause i thought the order was a bit mixed up...the desserts were in the middle of the tour and then we went to seafood and bbq...i think it would have worked better to have the sweets at the end. other than that ....super!

We did the Savor the Flavor Walking Tour with Franny at 10am on a Sunday. We stopped at around 5 places and had good size portions of samples. We had grits, fried green tomatoes, pralines, bacon wrapped shrimp, hushpuppies, rice, homemade honey/butter spread, bar b q pork, ribs, and a delicious corn pudding. Franny was hilarious and extremely knowledgeable of Charleston and the food scene. We will be doing another tour with Bullfrog the next time we are in town.

I've taken this tour once before but wanted to try it again with a 1st time visitor to Charleston. I was overjoyed that we chose this. Our guide, Fanny was THE BEST! Very personal yet informative, funny & experienced! The food samples were so delish & filling it was enough for late breakfast & early lunch! HIGHLY recommend!
